Position Summary:
Alpine Country Club is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiver to manage the receipt, inspection, and storage of all incoming deliveries, including food, beverages, and supplies. The Receiver ensures that goods are accurately documented, meet quality standards, and are properly stored according to club protocols and health regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries for accuracy, quality, and condition
- Verify packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders for accuracy
- Ensure proper storage of food, beverage, and supply items following FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
- Record and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate department
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of receiving areas, storage rooms, walk-ins, and dry storage
- Label and date all received products according to club standards
- Communicate with kitchen and purchasing staff regarding deliveries and inventory
- Assist with weekly inventory counts and restocking as needed
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment safely
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous receiving or stockroom experience preferred, especially in hospitality or food service
- Basic knowledge of food safety and storage procedures
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds and perform physical tasks in refrigerated environments
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with inventory management systems (e.gYellowdog, ChefTec, MarketMan, etc.)
- Knowledge of perishable and non-perishable product handling
- Familiarity with country club or high-volume hospitality environments
- Forklift or pallet jack certification a plus
